It is said that, whenever you see a successful business, someone once made a courageous decision and it was the courageous decision of Aslam Khan supported in his endeavor by a few enterprising young entrepreneurs who have brought Octaware to where it is today and growing further ahead.

Aslam is a man with a mission and a vision. It was this vision that germinated in Octaware Technologies. And the vision was not just to establish a profit making business but to serve, add value and create growth for the society as well. His Vision is shared and he is supported in this mission by the team of able and dedicated professionals each an achiever in his own right.

Aslam Khan President

Aslam is the President of Octaware Technologies, leading by example and providing an organized leadership. He is a business strategist who oversees the definition and execution of the company’s strategy. His aim is to establish Octaware as a major Global player providing distinguished IT solutions and services.

He has over 15 years of experience in technology, strategy, business development and entrepreneurship working in USA and Japan. Before becoming an entrepreneur, his last assignment was as the Director of AskMe Software where he initiated the subsidiary of AskMe Corporation – USA in India, resulting in a profitable and fastest growing IT company in Pune. Prior to joining AskMe, Aslam worked at Microsoft Corporation, USA where he was a lead developer on the Windows2000 family of products. Prior to Microsoft, Aslam worked at CitiBank N.A, Japan developing software for financial trading platform.

Always open to interesting ideas and opportunities, Aslam likes to dream not just BIG but he surely does aim for it and tries to achieve it as well. He firmly believes that one must not try to build assets just for themselves but try to become an asset for the society. His most inspirational words are, “Success is not what you gain or possess, it’s in making others successful in the society”

Aslam holds BS from the Mumbai University.

Sajid Hameed Executive Vice President

An extensively experienced person in project management, delivery and customer management, Sajid Hameed holds the directorship for the strategic direction and the technological advancement of the company.

He has over 17 years of experience in IT and before joining Octaware. Sajid has worked in USA, Europe and the Middle East with companies such as TCS, Boeing and GE. He has rich managerial and technical experience of handling the outsourcing projects for various clients.

‘The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure’ and Sajid believes in this to the core. He is never afraid of failure and this is the reason that he has always been able to achieve success in whatever endeavor he has undertaken. With a strong presence and a towering personality he has always been Octaware’s pillar of strength

As he likes to put it , “To be successful, you have to have your heart in your business, and your business in your heart “ Sajid is a voracious reader and likes to keep himself abreast of the latest happenings in the field of technology. He also loves spending time with his kids.

Sajid holds BS from the Mumbai University.

Mohammed Siraj Vice President - Engineering

Siraj leads and manages the Global development facility in India using his extensive experience in solution design, product development and IT services industries.

Siraj is a technology specialist who brings in over 17 years of IT experience working in Middle East and India for leading financial and e-governance organizations like Commercial bank, GIS Centre of excellence in Qatar and Department of Science & Technology, India. Prior to joining Octaware, Siraj was the co-founder of CodeNTest Technologies, a leading IT training and software development company in Pune.

He firmly believes that hard work is the key to success and that there is no substitute for hard work.

As he likes to put it, “If the power to do hard work is not a skill, it's the best possible substitute for it.” Siraj holds BS from the Karnataka University, India

Haroon Baig General Manager - Projects

Haroon has been with Octaware since its inception. His primary focus is to manage and enhance the project management and delivery, including the company’s onsite and offshore teams.

Haroon is a veteran technology leader with over 15 years of experience, with technical depth and great experience in team management, project management and software development and has his own creative ways of dealing with it and coming up with delightful solutions. If 'Creativity' is thinking up new things and 'Innovation' is doing new things, Haroon is a "Creative Innovator'. He always tries and takes initiatives to create an inspirational work environment fostering team spirit, motivation and confidence.

Being an avid risk taker, Haroon puts it as a matter of fact, “The essential part of creativity is not being afraid to fail." He enjoys meeting up with people and build a strong and intellectual network and his favourite pastime is reading courtroom thrillers.

Haroon holds M.S in Computer Science from Mumbai University

Shahnawaz Shaikh General Manager - Technology

Shahnawaz is responsible for developing and implementing technical strategy.

Shahnawaz has more than 15 years of software development experience. He joined Octaware in 2008, to drive Octaware's technology leadership and deliver world-class services and the highest quality of customer satisfaction.

Prior to joining Octaware, Shahnawaz has served in a variety of technical roles in both enterprise and startup companies in India and overseas. His strength is his calmness even in the face of adverse situations and making sure that deadlines are met, without any delay. Anyone who has worked with shahnawaz can vouch for his dedication and commitment towards his work.

Shahnawaz firmly believes in Ayrton Senna’s saying, “I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence.”

Shahnawaz likes to work out to stay fit and he loves to go on long drives.

Shahnawaz holds BS from the Mumbai University.

Syed Najeeb GM General Manager– Sales & Marketing

Najeeb heads the Business Development initiatives in India and is in-charge of Global Marketing and Corporate Communications.

Najeeb has around 15 years of experience in Client Relations, Sales, Marketing and Business Development across industry verticals such as Advertising, Telecom and Aviation. He has always been a high-flyer having worked in various national and international markets, with companies such as Soni Advertising, Matrix Telecom, Emirates Airlines and Kingfisher Airlines and now is all geared up to take Octaware to unprecedented heights.

He has worked across various geographies in India and abroad and also had the distinction of being one of the youngest managers across the Kingfisher Airlines network, who was with the airlines since its commencement. He had successfully established the airlines business across various locations in India and was solely responsible for developing Middle East business sector from inception till success.

Najeeb likes to take a lot of initiatives and is always on his feet, he is a master of thinking on his feet.

His favourite lines are from the poem by Robert Frost,‘Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening’ which goes ..…“The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep.”

He enjoys striking a pleasant conversation with those around and loves to stay fit. He likes to devote his free time doing social work and community service.

Najeeb is an MBA specializing in Sales & Marketing from Mumbai University.
